Because of this "cold streak" we can't go to the beach! Why? Sharks, jellyfish and other hazardous marine life have been spotted not 50 yards off the shore where we like to go swimming. We can still go to the beach, just not go in the water, and what is the fun of that?
This cold streak made waters where Great Whites usually are this time of year, too cold so these murderous animals have moved in next to us! Fun, huh? We just moved to Southern California and the beach is "Off. Limits.", to quote my mom.
Well, we can go to the beach if we wanna go swimmin' with the fishes. Great. Just great.
Jellyfish-- no prob, just avoid them. Sting Rays-- easy, DON'T PET THEM. Great White Sharks-- avoid at all costs. Let me explain:

I know fully understand the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words." Words like devious, smart, scary, hungry, murderous... things like that.
- The biggest great white shark on record was 23 feet (7 m) long.
- The great white shark has 3,000 teeth at any one time. A white shark may grow and use over 20,000 teeth in its lifetime.
- Most great white attacks are not fatal.
- White sharks cannot swim backwards but they can jump out of the water.
- No one knows the life span of the great white shark.
- Great whites do not chew their food.
- Although it is not the largest shark, the great white is the largest predatory shark.
- White sharks must swim constantly or they will sink. They have no gas filled swim bladder to keep them afloat like all bony fish do.
- The white shark can poke its head up out of the water.
And one last one from me: Great White Sharks are found in all major oceans and along all continents with the exception of Antarctica.
